Android Tip: Alternate Top Level Domains on the Virtual Keyboard
Occasionally, you'll be typing in a field where you will need to type in a top level domain (e.g., .com, .org, .edu, .gov, .us, etc.). By default, the Android virtual keyboard has a .COM key you can press for that top level domain (TLD). However, there are times when you need a different TLD. You can simply type it in, but there is a shortcut for some alternate TLDs. To make use of the shortcut, simply tap and hold the .COM key and within a few seconds, you will be presented with a few other TLDs, namely, .net, .org, .gov, and .tv. There's a chance you may have different alternate TLDs. This shortcut may not necessarily save you time in typing, but it will save you a keystroke or two.
